2018 State of the Union Address - FCA Northeast Wisconsin Update

FCA NE WI, fcanewi.org, has been blessed by God in so many ways the last year and a half. There have been many stories of God’s goodness and His saving power in local huddles (student-led Bible studies within the public schools) sports camps, leadership camps, and other ways the FCA ministry touches the schools and the community.

For example, All-Conference Kimberly linebacker, Tristan Argall, shared his personal testimony in front of about 150 people at the Appleton banquet in April this year. It is powerful to see God working in and through the lives of our local youth. To witness firsthand the growth of a young man, Clayton Rath, from Hortonville High School who attended the FCA Leadership Camp in July of 2017--and will be attending again this year.

Clayton went from a young man who knew God to a young man maturing in Christ and becoming bold in sharing his testimony and becoming a leader of the FCA in Hortonville.

Another story of Luke Loewe, a basketball player that received a Division 1 scholarship to the College of William and Mary in Virginia, sharing his story—you can view it at this YouTube link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qLE92edrQH8&t=160s and the impact that FCA had on him and his walk with the Lord.

Then there are the examples of people willing to step up and volunteer and be a part of the impact God is having through FCA NE WI. People like Coach CJ Behnke in Hortonville, Pastor Jason Steger in Kimberly, Pastor John Slotten in Fond Du Lac, Coach Bruce Moriarty in Neenah, Coach Scott Ring in Oostburg, Coach Tim Birr in Green Bay and many others. FCA NE WI is blessed with many people who want to serve the ministry in many different areas.

Lastly, and extremely important, are the 43 people and organizations who have generously given to FCA NE WI to help launch the ministry locally and begin to build a solid foundation for the ministry to continue. Thank you for your willingness to partner, in faith, to the local ministry.

Personally, I have attended the FCA Leadership Camp, the FCA Sports Camp in Decorah Iowa, a local Power Camp in Eau Claire, a Fields of Faith—which will take place in October this year at Green Bay Southwest High School, and the possibility of starting a Fields of Faith in Appleton and we tried to have our own Power Camp in the Appleton area---The camp had to be cancelled, but we learned many things and will attempt again to have the camp in June of 2019.

In addition, my personal growth with the Lord and what He is teaching me while pruning me has been a blessing.

There are so many opportunities and doors that God has opened through favor, relationships, and awareness. It has been great to watch and to follow the Lord and His leading. Pray that FCA NE WI continues to do that today, tomorrow, and in the future.

In closing, there is a huge hole in the ministry. With all the good that has happened and with all the potential that could happen, the ministry MUST stabilize. As Scripture tells us in Matthew 7:24-27:

Build Your House on the Rock

24 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock. 26 And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand. 27 And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell, and great was the fall of it.”

FCA NE WI, currently is sitting on sand financially. The ministry is being built on the Rock—Jesus Christ. That part has been clearly communicated with the leaders and the youth that are a part of FCA locally.

However, at the current pace we are on financially, the ministry is unsustainable. In order to assure that FCA NE WI is here to stay, we need more home team partners. Business and individuals who are wanting to be a part of the kingdom ministry who have a desire to see FCA throughout Northeast WI thrive for years to come.

Would you personally consider investing on a monthly basis to the ministry of FCA? You can do so by visiting this link: https://my.fca.org/donation?name=jeffreymiddlestead

If you are unable at this time to partner with FCA NE WI on a monthly basis, would you consider a one-time donation? Also, would you be willing to share this ministry need to people and businesses you know who have a heart to see the kingdom of God advanced, our youth served, and Christ proclaimed in our community?

FCA NE WI thanks you in advance for your consideration and may the peace of God which surpasses all understanding continue to bless you and your family.
